In 180 darts for the Atari 8-bit, players enter 501 darts competitions against other players to gain access to a championship tournament with standard darts regulations, aiming to reduce their score from 501 to zero while completing on a double. Starting in the quarter-finals, the player must win a best-of-three match to continue in the tournament. After that, they must win another game in the semi-final round to advance to the final and play against world champion Jammy Jim. In the final match, however, the player only needs to win one leg against him to win the tournament. Players can also compete against another human player or enjoy Round the Clock, throwing darts at the dartboard from 20 to 1 within a specified time.
