Following a catastrophic mishap on 61 Cygnus in 2197, where a rookie pilot's error resulted in half the planet being reduced to molten lava, Gal-Corp established a specialized training center. This center aims to cultivate an elite squadron of pilots proficient in piloting advanced military skimmers, essential for colonization and reconnaissance missions. Founded in 2213, the Galcorp Academy for Advanced Skimmer Pilots (GASP) was created to address this critical need. Annually, over a hundred aspiring skimmer pilots enroll, but only a select few meet the rigorous standards of flying and combat expertise. To successfully graduate from the Academy, cadets must accomplish 20 missions, distributed across five levels, each consisting of four missions.
