Acid Runner, available on the Commodore C64/128/MAX, is a re-imagining of the classic Lode Runner. Players must master timing and strategic use of ladders and ropes to navigate levels while evading enemies and obstacles. The protagonist's goal is to collect all scattered items and reach the exit doors before time expires. Adding to the challenge are patrolling enemies and electrical hazards. Players can temporarily trap guards by creating holes in the ground, which later close, freeing the guards. The game consists of 30 levels.
