Advance Wars: Dual Strike marks the third entry in the Advance Wars saga and the first on the Nintendo DS. Advance Wars is the international name for the Wars video game franchise, whose origins trace back to the Famicom Wars game in 1988. The narrative picks up from previous installments, unfolding in the new setting of Omega Land. The Black Hole army has resurfaced under a new commander with plans to achieve immortality by sapping Omega Land's energy. The Allied Nations face this danger, eventually teaming up with former Black Hole commanding officers to protect the land.
