Don't be fooled by the small scale of the battle, the stakes are high. In this decisive confrontation, you'll have access to guns, grenades, launchers, and weaponry of all kinds. Players take control of an army tasked with reclaiming a world fractured by warring factions. The battle map is essentially a grid, and moving units is akin to moving chess pieces on a board. Each unit can move a certain number of spaces within this grid and can only attack from a specific distance from specific enemies. Advance Wars includes over 115 maps, a map editor, head-to-head play via link cable, and an easy-to-understand tutorial mode for beginners.
