Advent Rising is a science fiction, story-focused, third-person action-adventure game for the Xbox, crafted by GlyphX Games. Penned by author Orson Scott Card and released by Majesco Entertainment, it was envisioned as a trilogy, but sequels were scrapped due to negative reviews and sales. A PSP game called "Advent Shadow" was also abandoned. Despite this, Advent Rising's compelling narrative and engaging gameplay have fostered a dedicated fanbase, with many considering it an underrated gem.
