Thunder Spirits

Introduction

Thunder Spirits is a high-octane side-scrolling shoot ‘em up that represents a unique chapter in the legendary Thunder Force series. Released during the height of the 16-bit console wars, this title served as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System's entry into a franchise that was primarily associated with its rival, the Sega Genesis. The journey spans eight massive, enemy-infested stages that take players through a variety of lethal environments. From the cold vacuum of deep space and asteroid belts to volatile volcanic planets and heavily fortified artificial space stations, the setting is one of constant peril. Each stage is meticulously crafted to reflect the biological and mechanical horrors of the Orn forces, providing a visually diverse backdrop for the intense dogfights that define the game.
